Singer Christina Aguilera debuted her new single "How I Feel," featuring Flo Rida, during a stunning performance on The Voice, NBC's popular singing competition, Blogamole reported.
The 32-year-old star, who also serves as a coach on the show, took the stage in a derby hat and a sequin black dress, showing off her slim new body. The track, which has been available on iTunes since Oct. 28, samples legendary diva Nina Simone's 1965 song "Feeling Good."
"How I Feel" is the first official single from Flo Rida's upcoming fifth studio album The Perfect 10, which also includes "Can't Believe It" featuring Miami-based rapper Pitbull. According to Pop Crush, Flo Rida said fans should expect at least "seven masterpieces" in his new album, that will hit stores in early 2014 via Atlantic Records.
The report also noted that the rapper confessed The King of Pop was a big influence to him while recording his new album. "You know, I actually got a chance to do some recording in the same studio where Michael Jackson did 'Thriller,'" said Flo Rida. "We did some work in there and I came up with like seven masterpieces."
As for Aguilera, the singer is definitely back on track. After taking some time off her duties as a judge on The Voice, where she stars alongside fellow judges Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, and Blake Sheldon. In talks with Redbook magazine, Aguilera explained why she decided to leave her spot on the show to Colombian superstar Shakira during season 4.
"I needed to decompress, wind down the clock and just breathe. I needed to find out who I am outside of that red chair," said the singer. "We did three seasons, and I wanted to disengage and have my life back and be with my son-put my sweatpants on and wipe my makeup off."
But for this year's season of the Emmy award-winning show, Aguilera rushed to take her old seat on the panel. "I know these guys so well, they really are like my brothers, no joke. There's a 12 year-old-boy in me who loves to come out and play with them."
