On Nov. 6 the Country Music Awards were held with Blake Shelton winning the Album of the year and Male Vocalist of the year. The singer also performed his song "Mine Would Be You."
Miranda Lambert won the Female Vocalist of the Year while George Strait won the Entertainer of the Year award.
The Vocal Duo of the Year went to Florida Georgia Line. The duo also won the award for Single of the year for the hit "Cruise."
The award for Song of the Year went to Jessi Alexander, Connie Harrington and Jimmy Yeary for the song "I Drive Your Truck."
Other winners included Tim McGraw with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban for Musical Event of the Year entitled "Highway Don't Care," which also won the award for Music Video of the Year.
Swift also took home the Pinnacle award, which was preceded by a video that included Julia Roberts, Ellen DeGeneres, Reese Witherspoon and Justin Timberlake congratulating her.
Little Big Town was also among the winners, taking home the Vocal Group of the Year award.
Other performances included Miranda Lambert and Urban in a duo. Jason Aldean and Kacey Musgraves who won the New Artist of the Year Award also performed. Swift took the stage with Alison Krauss, while the duo Florida Georgia Line performed as well. Jason Miraz and Hunter Hayes were also among the performers.
Darius Hunter, Rascal Flatts and Jennifer Nettles all sang Kenny Rogers songs paying tribute to the country singer. They later presented the Willie Nelson award to the veteran.
However, the most memorable moment of the evening came from George Straight and Alan Jackson when the duo paid tribute to the great George Jones, who passed away earlier this year.
Hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, the 47th annual awards show saw many stars grace the red carpet including Lucy Hale, Colbie Calliat, Kellie Pickler, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Darius Rucker and Hayley Orrantia.
