Despite the scandals he's been involved in in the last few months, popular radio host Eddie "Piolín" Sotelo has not only come back to US radio with his new show "El Show de Piolín", which is broadcasted through Sirius XM, but he may also join the US Radio Hall of Fame.

Last August, Sotelo was accused of allegedly mistreating and sexually harassing many of his work colleagues.

As People en Español reported then, Alberto "Beto" Córtez, producer, writer and a part of Sotelo's show on Univisión, was the one to accuse the Mexican host for harassing him "physically, sexually and emotionally".

The scandal created by said accusations made the host lose his job in Univisión, however, since last October 18, his radio channel Piolín Radio is being broadcast 24 hours a day through satellite radio service Sirius XM, while his show "El Show de Piolín" has gained popularity among Latino audiences in the United States.

According to newspaper Milenio, the success of Sotelo's new show has been such that in less that one month of it launching, it has had celebrity guests such as Enrique Iglesias, Angélica Vale, Angélica María, Poncho Lizárraga and Ana Gabriel, among others.

With his new show under his arm, Sotelo seems to have left behind the harsh months he had to go through after being accused by his former work colleagues. The radio personality, one of the most popular among the Hispanic community in the United States, plans to celebrate his long professional career as the first Mexican host to join the Radio Hall of Fame next November 9th.

"This is an award, a prize for all the people who have fought before me... it belongs to my listeners", the host said in an interview with AP, quoted by People en Español.
