Bet you never seen an airplane safety video like this before!

Forget the boring, monotone airplane safety videos that we're all used to, and say hello to Virgin America's new high energy, up-tempo safety video that seems to have channeled a Broadway musical mixed with a top 40 dance music video.

Last week, the airline company released their new safety video that communicates the video's instructional information through singing, rapping and edgy dance moves.

"We knew how much our guests loved the fun and irreverence of our current video, but after six years we wanted to give them something unexpected, a fresh take on what a safety video could be," creative director Jesse McMillin said according to ABC News.

"Changing the game is what Virgin America is all about, and we hope our guests have as much fun boppin' their heads to the new video as we had making it."

The five-minute video was directed by Hollywood filmmaker Jon Chu ("G.I. Joe: Retaliation," "Step Up 2") and features music and lyrics created by former American Idol contestant Todrick Hall. Also starring in the video are several performers who've appeared on the show "So You Think You Can Dance."

"How many times have you been on a plane where nobody is watching the safety demonstration?'' says Steve Forte, Virgin America's chief operating officer, reports USA Today. "People are sitting there reading the newspaper. When you look at this video, you'll see how it grabs people's attention.''

It will begin airing on flights in November. Until then, check out the video below.
