As if Mystic Falls could get any creepier, the lovely vampires from “The Vampire Diaries” will be celebrating Halloween in full swing during this week’s episode.
The episode, appropriately titled “Monster’s Ball,” will feature Elena and Damon in their matching Halloween costumes. How wonderful. Not only will Damon and Elena be sporting fancy Halloween attire, but the entire gang will be dressed up and scarier than ever. Elena and Damon will be dressed up as Anne Boleyn and her husband King Henry VIII. Catch an early glimpse in the sneak peek below.
In the video, Damon’s sly charm is thwarted when Elena shares her overbearing guilt about not realizing Bonnie had died. She also tells him that she’s determined to uncover the truth behind her roommate Megan’s death at all costs. Poor Damon is just trying to enjoy his Halloween party. Nice try, Damon.
As Hypable points out, Damon’s costume choice could foreshadow future events. If you know your history, Henry VIII has his second wife Anne Boleyn executed. In fact, he has her decapitated, which is one of the few ways to kill a vampire. Could he be alluding to a vampire death in the near future? It’s hard to imagine that Elena would be offed anytime soon, but with so many doppelgangers and mysterious deaths terrorizing Mystic Falls, you can never be too sure.
