Looks like marriage is definitely in Ciara's future.
Ciara's boyfriend, Future, a Southern rapper and music producer whose real name is Nayvadius Wilburn, proposed to the Grammy-award winning singer during her 28 birthday celebration in New York, reports ABC News.
"The ring, which doubled as a special birthday gift, is a beautiful 15-carat emerald cut diamond designed by Avianne & Co," Ciara's rep said according to E! News.
This will be the first marriage for both Ciara and Future, who began dating a year ago. The couple confirmed their courtship in January, and by springtime, they each got the other's initials tattooed on their ring fingers.
"Today Has 2 Be Like One Of The Sweetest Days Of My Life! #TheBestBirthdayEver," Ciara, who tweeted on Sunday after Future popped the question.
During an August appearance on Kris Jenner's talk show, Ciara revealed how important romance is in her life.
"You have to make time, because that's where you find your sanity. If you just commit to work every day, every day, all day, you get so lost that you can lose yourself," she explained. "Love is really important to me."
Future also told Hot 97 radio host Angie Martinez that he was destined to marry Ciara. "I don't get into nothing to get out. We haven't set a date. This is The One," the 29-year-old said. "I said it before, I said it seven years ago, so for it to come around and happen, it was just meant to be."
Future, who is currently on tour with Drake, is scheduled to drop his sophomore album on Nov. 26. Meanwhile, Ciara just released her new single "Overdose." There's no ending in sight for the power couple.
