Serena Williams reigned supreme once again at the WTA Tour Finals Sunday after blasting China's No.1 netter Li Na 2-6 6-3 6-0, capping an amazing year of tennis for the American tennis legend. Still, coach and rumored boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou believed Serena can raise the bar even higher for next season.

Better and Stronger Serena for 2014

Mouratoglou, who has been widely credited for Williams' re-emergence as women's tennis best player, believed the American can win more Grand Slam and other major titles than she had this year.

"We've spoken about 2014 already with goals to do better than this year because I think it is possible," Mouratoglou told BBC Sports. "If we keep this mentality I don't see any reason why she would slow down."

The 32-year-old Williams has smashed a number of records this season, including 25 wins by a 6-0 margins and an unprecedented feat of winning over $10 million in prize money in a single season.

"She loves playing tennis, she loves winning, she wants to stay number one, she wants to keep on winning - and she wants to be better," added Mouratoglou.

Healthy Williams means more success

The tennis coach said Williams' dominance on court this year was a product of keeping herself healthy throughout the season.

"She has 100% of her physical abilities today, which counts for a lot," Mouratoglou said. "Maybe that's one of the reasons why Roger hasn't been able to play his best tennis this year. He has physical issues, but Serena doesn't. She's at the top physically.

"As I said to her when we started working together, we have to make sure you don't get injured: that is the first goal. So we did a lot of work on her body. "The team worked with her to help her get stronger because everybody has weaknesses in his or her body. Her fitness is at the top, along with her will and dedication," he added.

Williams said winning the WTA Tour Finals after winning elite tournaments this season was icing on the cake.

"It was an awesome year of tennis. To end with the Billie Jean King trophy after 40 years and after everything we had the celebration for this year, I don't know if it's written or what, but it's just really exciting," Williams said following her victory against Li Na.
