A handful of New Yorkers who purchased tickets for the New York Lotto hit winning numbers on Oct. 19, but no one won the jackpot.
If your numbers weren't picked, you have another chance to win today, Oct. 23--and the jackpot is a sizable sum of $5 million.
To participate in the drawing, go to any New York Lottery retailer and pick up a playcard with 10 game panels. Pick six numbers, from one through 59, or you can use Quick Pick and let the computer randomly select numbers for you. Then select a wager amount; minimum play is $1 for two game panels. To win a second prize, you must match five of the six numbers drawn, plus the bonus number, which is the seventh number drawn.
You can purchase tickets seven days a week from 4:00 a.m. until terminals close at 3:30 a.m., or at 11:00 p.m. on draw nights.
If you win a jackpot, you have 60 days to choose payment in either 26 annuity payments or a lump sum cash value, according to the NY Lotto website.
The latest winning numbers from the Oct. 19 drawing were 2, 9, 20, 22, 55, 57, with the bonus number being 47. There were over fifteen winners, who won varying amounts. There were no jackpot prize winners, and no second prize winners. The prize monies will rollover to the next drawing.
The overall odds of winning are about 1 in 46.
The drawings occur on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 11:21 p.m.
In New York City, you can watch the drawing live on WABC.com. (WABC is channel 7.)
