Although it's typical to see a child sulk after bringing home a bad report card, one boy moved his father to tears after showing him that he finally passed his math class.
In a video posted on YouTube Monday, a dad from the U.K. begins crying tears of joy when his son shows him that he passed his math course.
"Is that real? IS THAT REAL?!" the proud father exclaims.
In the YouTube video description, the boy explains that a year ago, he had received an "F" grade in mathematics. Since a "C" or higher is required to pass in England, he desperately needed to get his grade up.
"ive [sic] never been amazing academically and have struggled through out [sic] school," writers YouTube user Ariamark, adding "neither me or my dad or my teachers thought I was going to get my C , I know some of you might be saying , well an c is nothing but for me it was hard to get."
The British student admits that his dad and teachers did not think he was going to achieve the feat, however, he managed to pull it off.
The video, which has been watched over 389,000 times, has received lots of positive feedback. One user, Patrick Staal, shared an encouraging message for the boy writing, "Kid, you're going to be alright. If you have parents who care about you THIS much and if you're willing to put the effort in, chances are your life will turn out pretty great."
Another user, mylongalingua, wrote, "keep working hard for you and your loving father :) this video is a good inspiration for love and effort, thank you."
