Chelsea will look to seize control of Group E in the Champions League when it takes on Schalke 04 on Tuesday.
The Blues are coming off a 4-1 win against Cardiff City and assistant manager Steve Holland thinks that the team is starting to find its top form.
"I think you see flashes of it," Holland said, according to ESPN. "There aren't many teams at the moment who are hitting that maximum level consistently ... it's a sign of progress. What you have got to accept is that when you're flowing things flow, when you're not flowing you've still got to get results that give you a chance of being around for the titles," he added about the lack of consistency earlier in the season. "That's what we're doing at the moment that perhaps we haven't always managed to do previously."
Chelsea currently sits in second place in Group E with only three points. The team was stunned at home 2-1 against FC Basel but managed a huge 4-0 win in Bucharest against Steaua Bucharest.
Meanwhile, Schalke sits atop the group with six points. The German contingent managed a 3-0 win over Steaua Bucharest at home in the first group game and then pulled off a 1-0 win over FC Basel.
If Chelsea wins on the road then it will tie Schalke and then have a chance to take over the group in its next game at home. If Schalke wins this match then it would only need a draw at Stamford Bridge to have complete control over the top spot in the group.
Prediction: Chelsea manages a 1-1 draw on the road.
