Kentucky Wildcats coach John Calipari knows that there will be a lot of pressure on them after they were named as the preseason NCAA title favorites, but the veteran coach said that his team is  up to the challenge.

Speaking in front of Wildcats fans during Big Blue Madness, Calipari said that the team's biggest opponent are themselves, even saying that the Wildcats are the face of college basketball and everyone's Super Bowl.

"Our biggest opponent: ourselves. At Kentucky, we are competing against ourselves every day. We can't let the strain and spotlight of this program affect you. We are the place to help you achieve your dreams," Calipari said as reported by ESPN. "We don't just play college basketball, we are college basketball. As you know, we are everyone's Super Bowl."

Calipari will parade a squad bolstered by arguably the best group of freshmen in recent years and led by Julius Randle, who is projected to be a strong candidate for the National Player of the Year award and a potential No.1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Aside from Randle, the Wildcats also acquired highly-touted freshmen twins Andrew and Aaron Harrison along with James Young, Dakari Johnson, Dominique Hawkins, and Derek Willis.

Calipari, a two-time Naismith College Coach of the Year winner, admitted that the team's lack of experience is one of their main problems, but he is optimistic that it will be a non-factor as long as they can play as a cohesive unit.

"The competition will be fierce, the road will be difficult. Every team we play will be more experienced than us. But if we become one unit, play with one heartbeat and a love for each another, we will be unbreakable," Calipari said. "With these players, these fans, and this coaching staff, we will build on the greatest tradition in the history of college basketball."

The 54-year-old coach won a national title with the Wildcats in 2012 during Anthony Davis' only season in Kentucky, but the Wildcats failed to defend this year as they failed to qualify in the 2013 NCAA National Tournament.
