Bayern Munich is off to a terrific start and will look to jump back into first place when it takes on Mainz on Saturday.
Munich currently sits just two points behind Bayer Leverkusen with one game in hand and would have sole possession of the top spot in the German Bundesliga if it manages a victory.
In eight matches the team has managed six victories and two draws while scoring 15 and only conceding three times. Coach Pep Guardiola recently stated that he was pleased with the team's ability to adapt to his style but he seems to be unwilling to adapt to the team's former habits.
"To be honest, I am a bit surprised at how the players have adapted to my ideas," he said according to ESPN. "I thought we'd need way more time for it, but we are already on a very, very high level. I am pleased with what we're showing out there."
"We will only be fighting for titles at the end of the season if every player in this outstanding squad honors my decisions," he added. "Those who honor my decisions will get my support -- and those who don't want to understand that will end up in the stands."
After the match on Saturday, Munich will face off against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.
Mainz sits in 11th place in the league with 10 points.
Prediction: Munich is the favorite and should have little difficulty dominating Mainz. Expect a 3-0 win.
