An alleged game-breaking bug has been found in the latest Pokémon video games, less than a week after the worldwide launch.

"Pokémon X and Y's" city hub known as Lumiose City apparently has a glitch when saving the Nintendo 2DS and Nintendo 3DS-exclusive games.

The glitch only occurs when saving in Lumiose City and could lead to the gamer to restart the game.

Why?

Lumiose City's graphics get corrupted and control of the protagonist is null and void. Although music of the city is audible, controls, including touchscreen access, arre frozen.

The game-breaking glitch have been demonstrated on YouTube videos and other online media via European and Japanese versions of the sixth-generation games, therefore it isn't a region-locked situation.

While Nintendo or The Pokémon Company International have yet to address the issue, the former did announce "Pokémon X and Y" smashed sales records for the Nintendo 3DS.

As Latinos Post reported, four million copes of the latest Pokémon games were sold during its first weekend launch.

"Pokémon X and Y" launched, for the first time worldwide, across Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America with the latter having a suggested retail price of $39.99.
