Will Shinji Kagawa leave Manchester United in the January transfer window?

The Japanese star recently told the media that he felt his lack of playing time for his club was affecting his ability to produce for his national team.

"Personally, I felt strongly after these two matches that I need to play more and, as a team, there are many things we need to do. So we all need to go back to our European or J-League clubs and take what we learned in these two matches and work to fix those problems," he stated according to ESPNFC. "There's a matter of fitness and there's also that atmosphere of playing for my country. It's different from the atmosphere at United, but you still get a good feel for being on the pitch when you play regularly.

"Maybe it's because I'm not used to being on the pitch of late, but I didn't feel like I was able to enter these two games properly. During tough times like these I have to improve myself."

Kagawa has only featured in three matches for United this season and has found himself on the bench since the Sept. 28 defeat against West Bromwich Albion. However, he was a major factor in Manchester's 4-2 blowout win over Bayer Leverkusen and his lack of playing time has frustrated a number of fans.

Kagawa is just the latest player to voice concern over his playing time with the club. Javier Hernandez, better known as "Chicharito" has also mentioned that his time at Manchester may be coming to an end.
