Is Radamel Falcao returning to Madrid in the near future?

There has been a tremendous amount of speculation about the Colombian forward being unhappy with his new life in Monaco and rumors have started circulating about a potential move to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has only added fuel to the fire with recent comments he made on the forward.

"He (Falcao) won't come in January but in June, who knows?" Perez said according to Fox Sports. "Nothing is impossible and there is a lot of time between now and then, Falcao is a great player and I am aware that he wants to play for (Real) Madrid. I am aware of that, but it's normal. They told me."

Falcao has scored seven goals in nine matches for Monaco and salvaged Colombia's playoff hopes when he scored two penalties against Chile on Friday to earn a 3-3 draw for his country.

The Colombian formerly played for Atletico Madrid and helped the team to a Copa del Rey victory and a Champions League berth. Atletico has since moved on with the terrific play of Diego Costa and David Villa.

However, Real Madrid has struggled to find a finisher and could certainly use the help of Falcao. While Cristiano Ronaldo is the top scorer on the team and the addition of Gareth Bale is supposed to add more goals for the club, the team does not have a true center forward that it can rely on. Alvaro Morata is a youngster that could win the spot from the current incumbent Karim Benzema, but his inexperience makes him a questionable asset. Meanwhile Benzema has not only failed to help his team, but he has incurred the wrath of Madrid's fans for his erratic form.
