Just before his next movie, 'The Expendables', debuts, Jean-Claude Van Damme is attracting media attention to himself, but for other reasons.
According to a recent interview Van Damme had with The Guardian UK newspaper, the actor confessed of having an affair with Kylie Minogue while shooting the 1994 movie 'Street Fighter'.
Not only did he confess the incident, he also went into good detail of what happened and his perception of the Australian pop artist.
"Sweet kiss, beautiful love-making," he told the Guardian. "It would be abnormal not to have had an affair, she's so beautiful and she was there in front of me every day with a beautiful smile, simpatico, so charming, she wasn't acting like a big star," he said.
"I knew Thailand very well, so I showed her my Thailand. She's a great lady."
In 'Street Fighter', Van Damme (Guile) and Minogue (Cammy) were both part of a military offensive to capture enemy M.Byson.
Cammy plays a British intelligence officer and is related to Colonel Guile as she is his intel officer. Their related roles, however, went far beyond the film set apparently.
20 years after of the romance, Kylie Minogue is now a world famous artist and she recently had her 'Aphrodite - Les Folies' world tour documentary premiere on August 14.
Van Damme on the other hand, has kept himself under the radar for the most part but has resurged recently with his roles in the 'Expendables' movie series.
