Brazil will face off against Korea Republic in an International Friendly on Saturday.
The Brazilian national team is playing terrific soccer since the Confederations Cup. The team won all five matches in that tournament, including a 3-0 domination of Spain in the final match of the tournament. More recently Brazil has been a dominant squad against other top sides. Last month, the Seleçao took on Australia in a crucial friendly that would not only test the Socceroos but also prove if Brazil was up to the task against World Cup squads. Brazil not only proved to be ready but exceeded expectations with a thrilling 6-0 win over Australia. A few days later the team took on Portugal in another major test; Portugal was without superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in the match. Brazil defeated Portugal 3-1 in the contest and did it with little difficulty.
However, the team will be without superstar Neymar as the Barcelona forward had an injury during a training session this week.
“Neymar fell to the ground after a challenge with Lazio midfielder Hernanes in Seoul on Thursday. He remained on the ground as doctors rushed to attend to him but walked off the field on his own, although visibly in pain as he was taken to the locker room,” ESPN reported.
Brazil will face Zambia next week with a friendly against Honduras to follow in November.
Prediction: Brazil wins 5-0.
