Bachata singer Prince Royce has released a new album, "Soy El Mismo" ("I'm The Same") --his third studio album and the first to be launched under Sony Music Latin. The 24-year-old star talked about his latest effort during an interview with Billboard and explained what makes the album stand out.

"I decided to call the album 'Soy El Mismo', 'I'm The Same,' because of a lot of things. I think that so much has happened since my 2009 debut. It's an album kind of a reflection of everything," Royce told Billboard. "On a personal level, on a career level, on a music level...we put in a lot of work into this album. I'm so excited to see everything finally put together."

"You can't imagine how much work was put into this album. I mean, everything was recorded one session at a time, musician by musician, piece by piece. And to me it's exciting to see the final work put together, and I'm excited for this album to come out. Hope you like it," said the singer.

During the interview, Royce also offered a song-by-song breakdown. "It's a cool song, you know," he said of "Soy El Mismo". "We wrote it with Toby Gad. And I think for me it's always doing collaborations that are unexpected, doing things that people don't expect. That's what this album's about. Having English, Spanish, Tropical, and doing things I haven't done before."

Royce said the second track "Te Robaré" is a song that "goes back to his bachata roots. I think it's a song all bachata lovers are gonna love. It's gonna get you up on your feet and start dancing some Prince Royce [laughs]."

The multi-award winning artist also expressed his excitement after the success of his first single "Darte Un Beso" got in several countries, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. "It's such a huge record, it hit number one. And I'm so excited to see that the first single has that much anticipation. It has a reggae vibe. When we did this song I was thinking about the beach, I was thinking happiness. I think we were able to portray that message with that song."
