Taylor Swift has set a new songwriting record.
The 23-year-old pop star has been named Nashville Songwriters Association International's songwriter/artist of the year for the sixth time, TIME reports. Her win sets two new records: she beat out five-time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson as the artist with the most wins, and she is also the youngest chart-topper to win the most awards.
The award recognizes Nashville songwriters who have produced Top 30 singles. Swift has released 14 Top 30 songs from July 2012 through June 2013.
Swift's six awards will be displayed at the Taylor Swift Education Center, which opens Saturday at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Swift donated $4 million to the center in 2012, which was the largest single donation made by an artist in the museum's 46-year history. The education center will be comprised of two floors and include three classrooms, a "learning lab" and a children's exhibit gallery, which will open next year. The gallery will house her songwriter/artist of the year awards from Nashville Songwriters Association International.
Taylor recently finished the American leg of her "Red" tour, which included 66 tour dates. Her 2012 album, "Red," sold 6 million copies and garnered the highest first-week album sales in over a decade. The album spawned the smash hits "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "22" and "I Knew You Were Trouble."
Swift finished her U.S. tour of "Red" in Nashville, the city she has called home since she was 14. The concert was held at the Bridgestone Arena on on September 19, according to CMT News. Country star Luke Bryan was the night's special guest, and Swift and Bryan sang a duet of his hit, "I Don't Want This Night to End."
Before her show, which included dazzling red lights, hordes of dancers and theatrical tableaus, Big Machine Label Group chief Scott Borchetta presented her with a number of plaques. She was awarded for 4 million sales of the single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"; for 4 million sales of "I Knew You Were Trouble"; for the platinum certification of the single "Begin Again"; and for 6 million sales worldwide of the album "Red" and for 4 million total album sales to date in England alone.
Swift will take her "Red" tour to Australia and New Zealand before touring in the UK in February of next year.
