The breakup saga between Ariana Grande and Jai Brooks continued on Sunday when Brooks published an extensive Twitter rant claiming that Grande cheated on him and left him for another man.
Jai Brooks released a long Twitter rant on Sunday night in which he claimed "The Way" singer was unfaithful to him with her new boyfriend Nathan Sykes.
The 18-year-old Australian has stated that Ariana, 20, was still in a relationship with him when Grande, star of the Nickelodeon series "Sam and Cat," began seeing The Wanted star, who is also 20 years old, reports The Daily Mail.
Although Jai has stayed quiet about his breakup from Ariana, he aired out the couple's dirty laundry and included a personal message for Nathan.
"Yes I was cheated on. Yes it does suck. Yes I was left for another man," Jai began, adding that he's "constantly reminded of it every day" and that "it has been tough for me but I'm finally ready to move on."
He explained, "Once you are cheated on you should never go back and I did because I wasn't ready to give up on love and something that was everything to me. I wasn't ready to give up on something that was causing me to smile and be happy day in and day out. That's what relationships do, they make you the happiest person in the world and all of a sudden a miserable wreck."
And to Nathan, he said, "Nathan may be a top bloke or a sweet person, but what he did was just completely wrong. He interfered with my life and did not respect my relationship, his actions caused me to not be able to sleep at night and not see the world as a beautiful place. Nathan if you read this, when you hold her hand you better hold it tight because you are holding my world."
He sweetened the rant with the claim, "I do wish you two happiness and a good life and hope everything works out," noting he's matured because of the split and grown up.
Jai wrote: "Today was supposed to be our one year anniversary but instead I'm writing this. Do you know how shit this makes me feel? How crushed it makes me feel? But I'm doing this to protect myself from the endless hate I am getting and for those who have lost respect for me when I haven't done anything wrong."
He explained his need of "ending peoples continuous questions to me which keeps reminding me about what happened" and said, "Yes I do miss her and still love her but I need to start thinking of myself and do what is best for me."
Ariana said she was in "shock," tweeting, "Woke up this morning in complete and utter shock... I guess I shouldn't be so surprised."
Then, she fired back with some accusations of her own, writing, "You said to me if I didn't come back to you, you'd make me look bad to the entire world...I'm no longer afraid of you or your lies anymore."
She added, "I'm going to be the lady my mother raised and carry myself with class and dignity...But I will never be any man's press opportunity"
She added, "It's always ok to defend yourself. My fans know what kind of person I am. Never let any man discredit u or the values you were raised with. I'm finally happy. Words can't hurt me anymore."
