T-Mobile announced their third Un-carrier phase and teamed with international superstar Shakira to deliver it.
T-Mobile revealed plans to provide unlimited global data to over 100 countries at no extra cost for subscribers. According to T-Mobile U.S. President and CEO John Legere, mobile phones in today's world are meant to connect with people worldwide but unfortunately people are required to pay "insanely" inflated international fees.
"You can't leave the country without coming home to bill-shock," said Legere, regarding the heavy fees carriers charge consumers. "So we're making the world your network - at no extra cost."

"The truth is that the industry's been charging huge fees for data roaming. But what's most surprising is that no one's called them out - until now," added the T-Mobile president and CEO.

A roaming charge will be included of 20 cents per minute for voice calls. The T-Mobile's subscribers eligible for the plan won't have to activate anything, or pay an extra monthly fee either.
Legere noted the T-Mobile subscriber will receive a text message when entering a new country about networking speeds and fees that could occur upon arrival.
U.S. customers will also have the option of staying connected with friends and family worldwide with the new Stateside International Talk & Text feature for discounted calling and texting from the U.S. to all Simple Global countries.
According to T-Mobile, subscribers won't pay more than 20 cents a minute to any number in any Simple Global country, including mobile-to-mobile. Phone calls to landlines will be unlimited for over 70 countries. The new feature includes Unlimited texting is also included for all countries.
The Stateside International Talk & Text feature will cost $10 per month.
In addition, T-Mobile announced its 4G LTE network launched nationwide reaching over 200 million people in 223 metro markets in the U.S.

"Today is all about bringing the world closer together," said Shakira. "I'm excited to partner with T-Mobile and look forward to being able to share my music in new and innovative ways."
