At her 47 years of age, American actress Halle Berry has become a mother for the second time, by giving birth to a healthy boy, product of her relationship with her current husband Oliver Martínez.
According to information published by website 20 Minutos, the Oscar winner gave birth on Saturday, October 5 to a boy in the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the same hospital were Leo was born, son of actors Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem.
In last April, the American actress accepted that her second pregnancy had been the "biggest surprise" of her life. "I thought that this was in the past for me, I didn't think it could happen. So it's been a big surprise and something wonderful", said then the lovely actress.
Halle Berry's Son Will Have A Spanish Name
According to entertainment website TMZ, quoted by news agency Europa Press, Halle Berry and Oliver Martínez have chosen a Spanish name for their first son (Berry has an older daughter called Nahla, product of the relationship between the actress and Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, born in 2008), which is Maceo.
The couple chose that name since Olivier is Spanish and for its meaning. According to Europa Press, the name means "gift from God", and is medieval in origin, and was common during the ninth and thirteenth centuries.
Besides her maternity, Berry became news recently when it was made public that she would star in renowned director Steven Spielberg's next TV production, "Extant", where she will play an astronaut that after spending a year in a mission in space, returns to Earth to recover her family, informed Mexican newspaper Excélsior.
