"The Counselor" premiered in the United Kingdom this weekend.
During the U.K. premiere stars Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem attended alongside director Ridley Scott.
On the red carpet Fassbender told reporters that it was very awkward to shoot the sex scenes with Penelope Cruz. He said, "Those scenes are always kind of awkward to be honest so it's not a threat to Javier. I'm sure he is very comfortable with his marriage."
Cruz also stunned the red carpet as it was her first public appearance since giving birth to her second child with co-star and husband Bardem. When asked about working with director Scott, she told the Daily Mail, "I admire him so much."
She also added that she was happy to work with writer Cormac McCarthy again. She said, "I Love Cormac McCarthy's work. This is the second time [I've worked with] McCarthy."
Cruz also revealed that she has a tremendous amount of fear that she struggles with on a daily basis. She told the Telegraph, "I have so many fears. I have become an expert at hiding them but I am so full of them. I'm not giving you examples because they are all so crazy. Everybody thinks I'm so centered and relaxed but it's so opposite to what goes on inside me. But I've been working on it all my life, so it gets better."
The film boasts one of the most impressive casts of the year and also stars Brad Pitt and Cameron Diaz who were absent at the premiere. "The Counselor" tells the story of a lawyer who finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking.
"The Counselor" opens on Oct. 25 and is Rated R for graphic violence, some grisly images, strong sexual content and language.
