Joseph Gordon-Levitt has revealed that he will not be involved in the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman" movie.
During an appearence on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" Gordon-Levitt said that he had not heard anything about the upcoming film.
"I don't think [I'm in it]. I don't have anything to do with that movie," he said, according to Perez Hilton. "I was in a movie that was the end of a trilogy, that I was super proud and fortunate to be in. I think these next movies are sort of a separate chapter."
When asked what he thought about Ben Affleck being cast in the new film he said, "I think he's going to be great."
Gordon-Levitt played Jon Blake in the "The Dark Knight Rises" and there was much speculation that the actor would be the next Batman. However, they were simply rumors. The actor was last seen in "Looper," Lincoln," "50/50" and "Inception." He is currently starring in "Don Jon," which also marked his directional debut. He will next be seen in "Sin City: A Dame To Kill."
"Batman vs. Superman" will be directed by Zack Snyder ("300," "Watchmen") and will be written by David Goyer ("The Dark Knight"). The film stars Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman as well as Amy Adams ("The Master," "Enchanted"), Diane Lane ("Hollywoodland") and Laurence Fishburne ("The Matrix," "Contagion"). Charles Roven ("The Dark Knight") and Deborah Snyder ("Man of Steel") are slated to produce, with Nolan and Emma Thomas as executive producers. Warner Bros. will release the film in 2015 with production scheduled to begin in 2014.
