El Chicharito Is The Name Of A Station In The New 'Foreign Stars' Line Of The London Underground

 Javier "Chicharito" Hernández will be one of the soccer stars honored by the new "Foreign Stars" line of the London Underground, ESPN reported.

Thanks to the efforts of the English Football Association and the London Underground, 367 subway stations will be named after footballers, managers and referees. According to the report, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the subway, stations will be "baptized" with the names of players that have made history in the London sports league.

The Mexican footballer will be lucky enough to have his name on the Wandsworth Road station of the Overground line. While the central line of London will be dedicated to footballers like Michael Owen, former player of Real Madrid and Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.

On the "Foreign Stars" line, Spanish footballers are also present, including Xabi Alonso, Pepe Reina, Fernando Torres, Cesc Fábregas, David Silva and Mikel Arteta, as well as the managerial side represented by trainer Rafael Benítez, who participated on English teams Liverpool and Chelsea.

Among the honored on the oldest line of the London Underground, ESPN mentions the names of foreign managers like José Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti of Italy, while the circular line of the subway will carry the names of great footballers of the World Cups like Michel Platini of France, Pelé of Brazil, Paolo Maldini of Italy, Diego Maradona of Argentina and Franz Beckendbauer of Germany.

One of the great stars of England, David Beckham, will have his name on one of the stations of his natal Laytonstone, located north of London and Madrid's new talent, Gareth Bale was able to get a new spot among the football stars of his country. ESPN explains that the Docklands line will honor pre-war players, among which are Dixie Dean and Eddie Hapgood, and feminine talent is also acknowledged with the names of Faye White, Hope Powel and Kelly Smith.
