Last week, Mexican singer Paulina Rubio presented her new line of handbags and shoes in a press conference in the Glendale Galleria Mall in Los Angeles, according to information published by ABC on its website.
The "X Factor" judge intends to excel in the world of fashion and so presented her new creation, a line of handbags and shoes she will sell online. The singer said it's a new "sensual, modern and casual" line for women.
The article points out that Paulina Rubio will manage the distribution of her articles through website JustFab and presented the designs exclusively in Los Angeles. In an interview with news agency EFE, the also called "Golden Girl" said that this was "something that had to happen: the fact that I always have to look great, moving on the stage and running through airports, inspired me a lot to launch a line of handbags and shoes and some accessories too".
The "Golden Girl" is planning to sell three different collections, and during the presentation of the first one said, "I've wanted that these first handbags and shoes have the sensuality that characterize me in front of the cameras but also to be casual and modern as I like to be when I'm not acting." The VIP users of Rubio's store will be able to acquire one of the nine handbag designs and 13 shoe designs at a price of $39.95.
ABC points out that the launch of the singer's second collection could be in the autumn-winter season while the third launch of the line is expected for spring 2014. Paulina said that the line is directed to mothers. "I think I'm one of the millions of women that are mothers, who have to go out to work and come back, that are practical, running through the world. Somehow we're also flirty, we like to be comfortable and glamorous," she said.
Rubio explained that her daily life inspired her to make her collection. "I wanted to design for all these different Paulinas, Paulina the mother, behind a child; Paulina rehearsing, preparing for a concert and Paulina in a concert or an event. That's where I got my inspiration for the collection," she said.
Among other products the Mexican singer has sold are the perfume "Oro" and her MAC brand lipstick; she also owns a restaurant in Miami, so she is expected to be successful in her foray into the fashion world.
