The change of foliage is a welcomed sight. Not only will our eyes feast on the vibrant colors as they scorch the autumn landscape, but it reminds fans of the hit series “House of Lies” that a new season is right around the corner.
Come January, the hit series will return to Showtime. The Emmy nominated Don Cheadle will return alongside newcomer Brad Schmidt, who will play the recurring role of JC Butterman, a handsome devout Christian with an arrogant edge, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Schmidt won’t be the only one joining the Season 3 cast. Fellow “House of Lies” freshman include Eliza Coupe (“Happy Endings”) as Marissa, a top employee at a wild Internet company and heir to a wealthy media family, Mekhi Phifer (“ER”) and Genevieve Angelson as Caitlyn, a new love interest for Doug.
Additionally, “The Killing’s” Bex Taylor-Klaus, Rob Gleeson and Ryan Gaul will all star in recurring roles upon the show’s winter return. Taylor-Klaus will take on the role of Lex, a tough genderqueer basketball player who connects with Marty’s son Roscoe. Gleeson will play a quiet and intense numbers guy, while Gaul’s role remains shrouded in secrecy.
More Season 3 details will slowly be made public as production begins this month. With only three months until the premiere, it’s about time that the wheels start turning. Fans are as eager for details as they are for new episodes. Let’s hope Showtime feeds hungry fans before mayhem ensues.
“House of Lies” will return to Showtime January 12.
