Mystic Falls is a place of conniving vampires, high school drama and supernatural occurrences. Although it doesn’t lack in beauty, as the vampires that scour its eerie streets are some of the best looking to ever grace the planet, it does lack in flare. It lacks that flare that separates the town from any other suburban town across the country. Sure it may be infested with vampires and other night crawlers, but there’s no allure. There’s no reason for outsiders to visit the dormant town and experience the little that it has to offer.
And the vampires can agree. They’re heading out. They’re on to bigger and better things. While some make their way to college, others are heading to a city with almost too much flare. They’re heading to New Orleans to start a new, more exciting and amplifying life. It’s going to be a wild year, and luckily, fans of “The Vampire Diaries” will be able to keep up with all the action through the brand new spin-off series, “The Originals.”
Last spring’s backdoor pilot gave viewers a taste of new life in New Orleans for Elijah and Klaus, but they have yet to see any interaction between Elijah and Marcel. Well now’s your chance. In a new exclusive video from this Thursday’s series premiere, Elijah strikes a deal to exchange Klaus’ blood to cure Marcel’s wolf-bitten friend for Jane Ann’s body. An every day transaction in the New Orleans vampire underworld.
What’s unclear, however, is for what Elijah wants the dead witch’s body. And what is Klaus going to think? Check out the sneak peek video for yourself here.
