CM Punk starts the night demanding a fight, seething from last week's Ryback and Curtis Axel attack in front of his hometown Chicago crowd, and Brad Maddox provided him with one - against Big E. Langston, who blindsided Punk before the bell rang.
MATCH #1: CM Punk vs. Big E. Langston
Punk managed to weather the storm of Langston's sneak-attack, finishing Langston off with a GTS (Go To Sleep) for the pin.
WINNER: CM Punk
MATCH #2: Fandango vs. Kofi Kingston
Kingston defeated Fandango, nailing him with a Trouble in Paradise, for the pin-fall victory. Kingston did not get much of a chance to celebrate before the lights went out and the Wyatt Family made their way to the ring. Kingston grabbed a chair for protection but the Wyatts held their ground outside the ring, warning the locker room that one by one they all shall fall.
WINNER: Kofi Kingston
Backstage, the Bellas reveal that Brie will get a title match at AJ Lee's WWE Divas title at Battleground. Randy Orton interrupts them, warning Brie that her fiancee Daniel Bryan may not make it to their wedding after their Battleground main event title match.
MATCH #3: 3MB vs. Los Matadors
Diego and Fernando made their WWE debut hitting Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater with an assorted range of double-team luchador moves, nailing Heath Slater with a double-back-drop to win their first Raw match.
WINNER: Los Matadors
Stephanie McMahon and the Triple H made their way to their ring and invited the Rhodes family - Goldust, Cody and Dusty Rhodes - down the aisle. They made them an offer they could not refuse - if the Rhodes can defeat The Shield, at Battleground, in a six-man tag match, then Cody and Goldust get their jobs back. If the Rhodes lose, Dusty Rhodes loses his WWE job developing young talent. McMahon and Triple H, however, did fail to keep their promise as far as guaranteeing the Rhodes' safety, with The Shield attacking them from behind and laying the family out after the agreed to the match.
MATCH #4: Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel vs. R-Truth (non-title)
Axel regained control of the match before he was distracted CM Punk's theme music blaring in the middle of his match, allowing R-Truth a chance to nail the Lie Detector for the victory.
WINNER: R-Truth
MATCH #5: Alicia Fox vs. Brie Bella
Brie Bella managed to counter Alicia Fox's back-drop, setting her up a Facebuster for the win.
WINNER: Brie Bella
Backstage, the Big Show interrupts R-Truth as he was asking Raw GM Brad Maddox for an Intercontinental match after defeating Curtis Axel earlier in the night, refusing to leave his office into he has a talk with Triple. H.
MATCH #6: WWE Heavyweight champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Zack Ryder (non-title)
Ryder provided the champion with a healthy challenge, even hitting Del Rio with the Broski Boot, but was outwitted by the champ who reversed the Rough Ryder, taking control of the match and forcing Ryder to tap out to the Cross Armbreaker.
WINNER: Alberto Del Rio
Paul Heyman got on his hands and knees to propose to Ryback - to be a "Heyman Guy" - before both were interrupted by CM Punk's theme music blaring again, making Heyman very nervous. Punk came out through the crowd, stumbling over the barricade grabbing his knee. Punk grabbed a Kendo stick from under the ring, as he was faking his injury, and cleared the ring, going to work on Ryback and Axel, who ran down to help Heyman and Ryback. Punk ended up hitting the Intercontinental champion with the GTS to send a message to his mentor and his new protege.
MATCH #7: The Shield vs. Dolph Ziggler & The Usos
Ziggler had one half of the WWE Tag Team champions - Seth Rollins - in trouble and was about to go for the Zig Zag, not realizing that Roman Reigns was the legal man. Reigns - the other half of the tag team champions, hit Ziggler with a spear for the three-count.
WINNER: The Shield
Backstage, four policemen go into the office where The Big Show is waiting for Triple H, saying that they were looking for someone who had made threatening remarks about Triple H. Stephanie McMahon comes on and tells the police she has everything under control and that The Big Show has not been himself lately because of the huge mortgage payment for his home that is due. The Big Show accepts his fate and has to suppress his desire to get even with Triple H after McMahon bailed him out of that jam with the cops.
MATCH #8: Santino Marella (w/ The Great Khali & Hornswaggle) vs. Antonio Cesaro (w/ Jack Swagger & Zeb Colter)
Marella swept Cesaro's legs from under him after Cesaro blocked Marella's judo toss, and Marella positioning himself in perfect position for the victory.
WINNER: Santino Marella
Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan met to face, with Jerry Lawler reminding both former champions that this was to be a verbal confrontation prior to Battleground. Orton would eventually get annoyed by the crowd's "YES" chant before provoking Bryan by insulting his future wife, Brie. Bryan became incensed and physically attacked Orton, who laid Bryan out for his troubles with a brutal RKO through the announcer's table, in front of a distraught Brie, to end the show.
