Schalke 04 will look to build momentum in its Champions League run when it takes on FC Basel on Tuesday.

The winner of this match could finish the day in first place. FC Basel took down Chelsea 2-1 in its opener while Schalke finished off Steaua Bucharest 3-0 in its first game of the competition.

"We've got every reason to be satisfied with the 3-0 victory and the clean sheet. Everyone in the dressing room is delighted with an excellent team performance," said midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng about his team's performance against Schalke a few weeks ago, according to UEFA.com. "We knew it was going to be a tough game and discussed it in our pre-match meeting. I know Steaua from playing them with Tottenham and Hertha and I remember them being very aggressive, but we did a good job tonight."

Basel stunned Chelsea in its opening game, leaving Coach Murat Yakin with high hopes about his club's chances in the competition.

"To make it into the next round we have to come second in this group, but I don't think that is something we can't achieve," he said in an interview with UEFA.com. "We need an FC Basel team like last season's, one that is brave and engaged in our style of play. We managed to do well in last year's Europa League campaign with players in my team who are young and hungry for success. We're still working on their development today, so it's a great pleasure to be coach at FC Basel."

Prediction: The two sides draw 1-1.
