Jose Mourinho and Andre Villas-Boas will face off when Tottenham and Chelsea meet on Saturday.
The match is one of the most anticipated of the season as it pits master and pupil against one another for the first time in years. Villas-Boas served under Mourinho for numerous years in Chelsea.
The two have spent a great deal of time throwing comments at one another and this sideshow has helped elevate the level of hype surrounding the match.
Villas-Boas recently stated that he and Mourinho no longer had the same relationship they once had.
"We had a great personal and professional relationship before that we don't have now," said Villas-Boas, according to the Independent. "I don't think we need explanation on friendship and personal relationships. But our relationship broke down. I think we have the mutual respect for each other. But it's not like it was before."
He also noted that he was not "losing sleep over it," a clear signal that he cares little for his former mentor.
However, he was clear that the duel between him and Mourinho should be secondary to the game.
"We should ... be secondary figures to a spectacular game that means a lot to the fans and much more to the players," he added.
According to ESPN, Tottenham has only won three of its past 42 Premier League matches against Chelsea, a fact that weighs heavily on the Blues.
Prediction: The teams draw 1-1.
Start Time: 7:45 a.m. EST
