Rockstar and the Film Society of Lincoln Center will team up for a group of events at the New York Film Festival's convergence program.
As Variety reports, the Festival will feature discussion and panels as well as a live concert that will include music from Grand Theft Auto V.
The two panels that Rockstar will offer will be "Visit Los Santos and Blaine County: The World of Grand Theft Auto V," in which company creators will discuss storytelling and game development, and "The Music of Grand Theft Auto V," with the game's composers.
The concert, which will be performed on Sept. 30, will be entitled "Live From Los Santos" and will gather the game's composers and some 20 musicians. It will be held at a church in midtown Manhattan. Following the concert, a party will be held at the Gotham music venue Le Poisson Rouge.
The event will cap off the second annual convergence program, which is part of the Film Society of Lincoln Center's transmedia and multiplatform storytelling initiative. The convergence program is also slated to include panels, keynote presentations and "experiences" organized around transmedia projects including "The Cloud Chamber Mystery," "The Cosmonaut" and "No More Road Trips?"
The New York Film Festival opened on Sept. 27 with Paul Greengrass' "Captain Phillips." The festival will also include works from the Coen Brothers, Spike Jonze, James Gray, Steve McQueen, Ralph Fiennes, Jim Jarmush and Ben Stiller. The festival will run through Oct. 13.
