Real Valladolid will look for its second win of the season when it takes on Malaga on Friday.

Valladolid sits near the bottom of the Spanish League standings due to an inconsistent start of the season. The club opened its year with a 2-1 loss against Athletic Bilbao before losing 2-1 against Villarreal. On Aug. 31, Valladolid defeated Getafe 1-0 but drew 0-0 with newly promoted Elche on Sept. 16. A week later Atletico Madrid dominated Valladolid 2-0. In its most recent outing, the club drew 1-1 with Levante.

Malaga is looking to stretch its undefeated streak to five games after a rough schedule to start the season. The team started on Aug.17 against Valencia and lost 1-0. A week later a battle with defending champion Barcelona ended 1-0 in favor of the Catalans. Fortunately, the team managed a 2-2 draw with a tough Sevilla side on Sept. 1 and destroyed Rayo Vallecano 5-0 in its fourth match. A 0-0 draw with Champions League club Real Sociedad proved a positive result and a 2-0 win over newly promoted Almeria brought the club's points total to eight on the year.

Malaga currently sits in eighth place on the table; Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Villarreal, Espanyol, Athletic Bilbao and Valencia remain the only sides ahead of them.

Meanwhile, Real Valladolid sits in 15th place with only five points. A win by Valladolid would put it in a tie with Malaga.

Prediction: Malaga wins 2-0.
