The trial between the family of the late music superstar Michael Jackson and promoter AEG has come to an end after the lawyers of both parties revealed their results, according to Nación.

Katherine Jackson, the mother of the late King of Pop, sued AEG Live, the promoter of Michael Jackson's last tour in April, based on negligence charges against Dr. Conrad Murray and the lack of supervision on his part towards the singer.

Dr. Murray was found guilty and sentenced for the crime of involuntary manslaughter in June 2009, and since then, the singer's mother has been closely following the trial in Los Angeles .

Katherine demands millions in compensation and damages for the singer's children, Prince, Paris and Blanket, 16, 15 and 11 years old, respectively. The figure includes income not received and compensation for emotional damages.

Regarding the hiring of Dr. Murray, Nación points out that AEG Live denies signing any contract with the doctor, claiming that it was Jackson itself who promised the doctor $150,000 a month for his services.

During the trial, the Jackson family's lawyers have requested the testimonies of many people, among them the singer's son, Prince, who told the jury that his father "sometimes cried." He said: "They're going to kill me, they're going to kill me".

In her testimony, Katherine said in tears, "When I lost Michael, I lost everything." She remembered the day the King of Pop died and said the media criticized and described his son as an "oddball".

One of the trial's spokespersons said that the process is "entering its last weeks", which would allow the jury to release their verdict in a few weeks.
