This weekend James Gandolfini's last film "Enough Said" will be released in limited release.
The movie, which also stars Catherine Keener, Toni Collette and Julie Louis-Dreyfus, tells the story of a divorced woman who decides to pursue the man she's interested in. However, things get complicated when she learns he's her new friend's ex-husband.
The movie opened at the Toronto Film Festival where it received outstanding reviews and prompted Oscar buzz for a posthumous nomination for Gandolfini. The movie currently has a 95 percent aggregate score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Kenneth Turan of the Los Angeles Times said, "One of the pleasures of "Enough Said" is watching Louis-Dreyfus and Gandolfini, two well-known performers only Holofcener would think of putting together, come alive both as individuals and the two halves of a relationship."
A.O Scott of the New York Times wrote, "What happens when the things that you once found charming start driving you crazy? Many love stories address that question, but Ms. Holofcener tilts it a few degrees."
Lou Lummerick of the New York Post also enjoyed the film: "[Louis-Dreyfus] has wonderful chemistry with Gandolfini, whose Albert is warmly sympathetic, ruefully amusing, and ultimately hurt ..."
Alonso Duralde of The Wrap also gave the movie a positive review and stated, "The good kind of fall movie - intelligent, literate and entertaining, deserving of praise without ever nakedly angling for awards. Prizes would be nice, but the best result would be for the powers that be to give Holofcener more money to make more films."
"Enough Said" is directed by Nicole Holofcener who is best known for her work on "Please Giver," "Friend with Money" and "Lovely and Amazing."
Fox Searchlight will release "Enough Said" in New York and Los Angeles and later expand nationwide. The movie is rated PG-13 for crude and sexual content, comic violence, language and partial nudity.
