The home where rap icon Eminem grew up on the northeast side of Detroit is now on the auction block.
The single-family home was listed on the Michigan Land Bank Fast Track Authority website Tuesday night.
Built in 1945, the 747-square-foot brick house has 1½ baths and a detached garage, according to online residential real estate site Trulia.com. Public records show that it was listed as the address of Eminem's mother, Deborah Mathers, from 1989 until 2003. She now goes by the name Debbie Nelson.
The property has had at least 10 owners since Eminem lived there, and his mother was listed as the property's seller in 1994. It has been in foreclosure at least twice in the past decade, reports CBS News. Records indicate Debbie Nelson was owner of the Dresden Street property from March 1992 to April 2003.
The Land Bank website doesn't appear to ask for a minimum bid on the house and mentions that a $35 processing fee is assessed if your offer is accepted.
The house, according to Spin Magazine, is where Eminem spent most of his teenage years. He even featured the home on the cover of his 2000 "The Marshall Mathers LP" album. His movie "8 Mile" was also based on the rapper's childhood neighborhood in Detroit.
Slim Shady may be taking another trip down memory lane with his upcoming record titled "MMLP2" that will be released Nov. 5. The name of the album stands for the "Marshall Mathers LP 2."
