Although a collaboration between Eminem and Celine Dion seems highly unlikely, the powerhouse songstress admitted that she would be delighted to work with the rap superstar in order to impress her 12-year-old son.
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, the Canadian singer spoke about her son Rene-Charles, or RC for short, who is a big fan of Eminem. However, she admitted that although she is one of the best-selling female music artists of all time and has sold 200 million albums worldwide, her son still doesn't consider her as "cool."
"I'm not his favorite singer, for sure," she laughed. "I'm his favorite mom, though. That's the main thing."
Instead, she said that her son has a great admiration for Slim Shady and that she would "love to" work with the Detroit emcee just to impress him.
When asked if she would work with Eminem because her son is a big fan, she replied, "I'd love to!"
Who knows, maybe the legendary rapper wouldn't mind working with the iconic singer in order to score publicity to promote his eighth studio album, "MMLP2." The album, which stands for "Marshall Mathers LP 2," is scheduled to drop on Nov. 5. It wouldn't be the first time Eminem broke the mold to work with some unconventional artists. The rapper previously appeared alongside singer Elton John, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna.
His last album, "Recovery," won a slew of awards and sold more than 5.7 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling album of 2010. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured the smash hit "Love the Way You Lie" with Rihanna, which topped the Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks.
