A die-hard Kristen Stewart fan apparently paid $500,000 to spend just 15 minutes with the Hollywood actress.
According to mega-producer Harvey Weinstein, he helped persuade the "On The Road" star to accept the generous offer from an unnamed Middle Eastern prince. The money was then used towards the "12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief," Weinstein said Monday at the Toronto International Film Festival following the screening of the documentary "12-12-12," reports the New York Times.
After K-Stew heard about the offer, all she wanted to know was how much, Weinstein said, so he managed to negotiate a deal with the man.
The prince supposedly named a price, which Weinstein boosted to $500,000 and delivered in advance in cash. The Madison Square Garden location was set via venue Chairman James Dolan, Weinstein added.
Mr. Dolan locked it up in Madison Square Garden, he said. "And Kristen sits with the guy for 15 minutes," Weinstein explained.
Altogether, the concert reportedly helped raise at least $50 million in storm relief money for those affected on the East Coast, which was administered by the Robin Hood Relief Fund.
In addition to Stewart, Weinstein also recruited several other A-list celebrities to help out with the cause, including Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Mick Jagger and Bruce Springsteen, reports Us Weekly.
The "Twilight Saga" star recently split from longtime boyfriend Robert Pattison in May. The couple dated on and off for four years in addition to sharing an on screen romance in the "Twilight" movies.
However, after Stewart was spotted with Michael Pitt during Paris Fashion Week, rumors emerged that the 23-year-old actress was on the rebound with the 31-year-old actor. Reports claimed Pitt was helping Steward cope with her breakup, but according to Perez Hilton, Pitt is actually engaged to model Jame Bouchert, who was seen walking in the fashion show Stewart attended.
