Can you feel the autumn breeze? As it slowly descends from the north, it runs down our spines and embeds a chill deep in your bones. It’s impossible to shake. It’s the point of no return, and that point has almost been breached. The leaves will soon begin to change. The nights will become longer, colder. The night dwellers will soon embark from their winter caves in a rabid hunger, anxious to feed. It’s the season’s indubitable call, and the beasts instinctually call. To make matters even eerier, October will bring along not only Halloween, but the return of “American Horror Story.”
In growing anticipation of its upcoming season, FX has unveiled the official “Coven” sneak peek trailer. The video features stars Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Emma Roberts and Jamie Brewer. It also provides fans with their first look inside the New Orleans witchery school on which the Season 3 plot with focus. Check it out below.
“Coven” tells the story of witches and their craft in America. More than 300 years have passed since the Salem trials, which struck fear and a common misconception into the hearts of puritans across New England, and now all those that managed to escape are on the brink of extinction. In today’s day and age, young witches are being sent to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. But when one particular student, Zoe, arrives with a terrifying secret of her own, Fiona makes her return with a cold blooded thirst to save Coven at all costs.
“American Horror Story” will return to FX October 9.
