Tiger Woods is the 11-to-2 odds favorite to win this weekend's BMW Championship - the third of four tournaments in the PGA's Tour's FedEx Cup.
The tournament, held at the Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, IL, features a 70-player field with the top 30 golfers in FedEx points advancing to next week's Tour Championship in Atlanta, Ga. The winner of the FedEx Cup earns a $10 million prize.
Woods struggled at the Deutsche Championship, ending the day tied for 65th place and 18 shots behind Henrik Stenson. Sunday's performance matches Woods worst tournament finish since he finished tied for 65th in June at the Memorial.
Woods expects to turns things around at the BMW Championship.
"We're just trying to play for position, going into East Lake," said Woods after the Deutsche Championship. "After Chicago it's important that I'm in the top five, hopefully first."
Woods is currently in second place in the FedEx Cup standings, trailing Stenson, and ahead of Adam Scott, Matt Kuchar, Graham DeLaet, Phil Mickelson, Justin Rose, Steve Stricker, and Jordan Spieth.
"Theoretically, you can win every tournament of the year and not be the FedEx champion," said Woods. "I mean, whoever is in the top-five, whoever wins that event, wins the FedEx Cup. So it will be interesting to see what happens."
