**Update Aug. 10** Curry will not be covering the London Olympics closing ceremony as stated in this article.
The sour feeling that remained in many people after Ann Curry was ousted from the 'Today Show' may have briefly dissipated after Curry returned to 'Today' in London.
Curry was back on set with Matt Lauer on Thursday to talk about the Olympics and to interview Australian photographer Adam Pretty about capturing the games through his lens.
It was the first time Curry sat next to Lauer since the notorious exit took place where the former co-host was given a couple of minutes to give her farewell to viewers.
During the 8:00 a.m. segment, audiences saw Matt Lauer greeting Ann, "Ann, good to see you," he said.
Curry on the other hand responded with, "Matt good morning, and good morning everybody," and then continued to a report.
Apparently, people were quite delighted to see Curry back and this detail was evident through the internet.
By approximately 10:23 a.m. EDT, Ann Curry was already topping the MSN's 'Now' chart - a chart that lists trending topics and the biggest movers on its bing engine at any given moment.
Since she left the 'Today' show almost a month and a half ago, Ann Curry has remained a hot search query in the internet with people inputting keywords and phrases such as "where is Ann Curry?" or "why Curry left today".
According to the Huffington Post, Curry will also be reporting on Sunday's Olympics Closing Ceremony.
The closing ceremony will start at 9:00 p.m. London Time (4:00 p.m. EDT) and will finish by midnight.
