Lithuania and Liechtenstein will face off in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday.

Both teams are officially eliminated from contention and will likely be playing for a better FIFA ranking and pride. Lithuania currently sits in fifth place in the group with five points while Liechtenstein occupies the final slot with only two points.

Lithuania has one win, two draws, and four losses in the campaign thus far; the nation has scored five goals and conceded 10 in that span. Lithuania started its tournament with a 1-1 draw against Slovakia in Vilnius. The nation then headed to Piraeus where it lost 2-0 against Greece. In its third match Lithuania played Liechtenstein in Vaduz and won 2-0 thanks to two goals from Edgaras Cesnauskis. In their fourth game, Lithuania was defeated 3-0 by Bosnia and Herzegovina. They then earned a 1-1 draw with Slovakia before losing to Greece 1-1. In their most recent game, Lithuania lost 2-1 against Latvia. After their match on Tuesday, the Lithuanians still have games against Latvia and Slovakia.

Liechtenstein has two draws and five losses in the entire campaign. The nation lost 8-1 against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the opener and then lost 2-0 against Slovakia. A 2-0 loss to Lithuania was followed by a 2-0 loss to Latvia and a 1-1 draw with Latvia. The team then stunned Slovakia in a 1-1 draw, but Greece managed a 1-0 win in their most recent match.

Prediction: Lithuania wins 2-0.
