The English-version of the Genesect vs. Mewtwo movie has been confirmed and proved Latinos Post correct in regards to the film's release date.
As Latinos Post has been monitoring since June, the Genetic Pokémon from the first-generation was set to make its theatrical comeback as it battles a group of Genesects.
The film made its debut in Japan on July 13 as "Extreme Speed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens," and Latinos Post reported the American release date would be later 2013 on Cartoon Network.

The Pokémon Company International has confirmed the film, officially translated as "Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened," will debut on Cartoon Network on Oct. 19.
As Latinos Post noted in reports about the Genesect vs. Mewtwo movie, the Mewtwo in the film is not the same Genetic Pokémon seen in the original Pokémon film. In Japan, Mewtwo's voice was more feminine but that could all change in the English translation.

The film also doesn't follow the same canon as the video games in regards to how Mewtwo is able to Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo. It was revealed certain Pokémon are able to Mega Evolve by using a Mega Ring and a correlating Mega Stone, however, Mewtwo is not seen with either of the two requirements when it evolved during its battles.
The Oct. 19 release is a week after the worldwide launch of "Pokémon X and Y" video games for the Nintendo 2DS and Nintendo 3DS handset consoles.
The movie's confirmation comes after it was announced fellow first-generation Pokémon Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle would make their starter returns in "Pokémon X and Y." The Kanto starters' final evolution have been confirmed to Mega Evolve as well.
