Brazil will take on Australia in the team's second match since winning the FIFA Confederations Cup.

The Seleçao is coming off a 1-0 loss to Switzerland in Basel; the game was the team's first since defeating World Cup champion Spain 3-0 in the final of the Confederations Cup. However, Saturday's game will feature Brazil's first appearance at home since the historic win.

The opponent will be an Australian side that will be testing the Brazilian climates for the first time in preparations for next year's tournament. The squad qualified by finishing in second place in its AFC World Cup qualifiers.

This is the ninth time these two nations have faced off in their respective histories. The teams first met twice in the Bicentennial Gold Cup in July 1988. Brazil won the first game 1-0 and the second 2-0. The teams did not meet against until 1997 when they battled twice in the FIFA Confederations Cup. They drew 0-0 in the first game, but Brazil pulled off a 6-0 win in the second game. An international friendly in 1999 also saw Brazil reign victorious. A 2-2 draw followed in another friendly just three days after the previous one. Australia finally defeated the Seleçao in the 2001 Confederations Cup, but Brazil took down Australia 2-0 in the 2006 World Cup.

Prediction: Brazil is at home and should put on a show for its fans. Expect a 3-0 win from the Samba Kings.
