Katy Perry's roar can be heard across the world. Since she premiered her brand new single during MTV's Video Music Awards last month, "Roar" has pawed its way to the top of the charts, finally knocking "Blurred Lines" off its high horse.

As the mighty reign continues, a brand new video, which debuted on Thursday, features Perry as she scours the jungle, helping to beautify its inhabitants and becoming the undisputed queen of the jungle. She brushes the teeth of a crocodile, paints the toenails of an elephant, befriends a monkey and even tames a wild tiger. She can do it all.

The video begins as Perry stumbles from a plane crash with another passenger who gets mauled by the tiger after snapping a selfie. What a great way to go out. During the first chorus, the singer finds her bearings and summons a swarm of fireflies. From there on out, her reign of the jungles begins.

The track marks Perry's eighth career No. 1 single. Only Mariah Carey (18), Madonna (12), Rihanna (12), Whitney Houston (11) and Janet Jackson (10) have more No. 1 tallies amongst female solo artists.

And her new album, titled "Prism," could earn her several more. If it's anything like its predecessor, "Teenage Dream," then its roar will echo throughout 2014, carry several No. 1 singles, music videos and a world tour. The album hits stores October 22, but until then, grab a snack, sit back and watch the music video for her brand new smash single, "Roar."
