'Castle' Season 6 Photos Revealed, Premiere Episode Puts One Character's Life in Utter Danger

We’re now well into the first week of September. Summer vacations are nothing but memories preserved in photo albums. Students climb their way back aboard yellow school buses. Those fortunate enough to be employed settle into the monotonous groove of work, taking time to glance back over those glorious photos of vacations soon to be forgotten. But not all is lost. Salvation lurks around the corner.

We’re weeks away from the onslaught of fall television, which caters to the best of the best. The biggest, baddest shows are saved for the brisk autumn evenings and winter nights. They represent solace amidst the season’s grind, serving as tiny reminders that vacations do still exist and that good things are to come. One of the season’s most anticipated series, "Castle," will return at the end of this month, and much like the photos that now sit on your desktop folder labeled "Best Vacation Ever," new cast photos brighten up our day help us procrastinate as we daydream of a brighter future. The new season premiere picks up right where Season 5 left off. When we first see Beckett with Castle, addressing the cliffhanger that left fans glued to their seats all summer, Beckett interrupts by saying, "There's something I have to tell you." Although it's important not to read too far into her prose, that's not a good sign for poor Castle.

The episode then hits a time jump, distracting fans from the pressing marriage proposal on the table and addressing other riveting plot lines that make for a strong premiere. Fans can expect a major character to take several bullets to the chest, a major and devastating car crash, Tory's return, Alexis' new boyfriend and a cliffhanger ending that puts one character's life in utter danger.
