Arsenal's Mesut Özil was the best possible move that the club could have made and it is already garnering a positive reception in the clubhouse.
Theo Walcott recently revealed that he is excited to play alongside the German international in coming games.
"I played against him for the Under-21s when we lost 4-0 and he showed his qualities then and he has shown them for many years for club and country," Walcott said, according to ESPN. "He is a great addition and I am personally looking forward to playing with him. I think it definitely shows a statement that we are ready to step up and Özil is going to be fantastic for me personally.
"With the amount of the assists he has got, it's a dream for me to see, so I am very excited to see him in the flesh and play with him. I am sure all the Arsenal fans will be looking forward to the Sunderland game."
Özil left Real Madrid after losing his starting position on the squad.
"At the weekend, I was certain that I would stay at Real Madrid but afterwards I realized that I did not have the faith from the coach or the bosses," said Özil, according to The Telegraph. "I am a player who needs this faith. Wenger gives me the faith and I can develop further. I know what I can do and I know that I could make the grade with any club in the world because I am so convinced in myself."
