American model Kate Upton was named model of the year 2013, an award which she will receive on September 14 in an event at the Lincoln Center before Fashion Week.
Kate Upton's strong presence on magazine covers began in 2012. however, it wasn't until this year that the young 21-year-old model was recognized as the most prominent image in modeling - above Giselle Bundchen and Kate Moss - appearing on the covers of magazines like Vogue, Sports Illustrated and Esquire.
