Problems have surfaced with the Gareth Bale transfer but Real Madrid vice-president Fernando Fernandez Tapia is hopeful that his team and Tottenham Hotspur can fix their issues and get the deal finalized.

"There are problems, but I think it will all be straightened out," he said, according to Marca. "We thought he'd be here [for the Deportivo friendly], but he hasn't even flown to Madrid yet, although it could still happen. I think it will happen, but I couldn't swear to it completely. We have to wait, because Spurs are stalling."

"I have no doubt of Bale's ability but, without Bale, Real is still a force to be reckoned with," he added. "We have an amazing team."

The team is set to pay 100 million euros for the Welshman and Tottenham Coach Andre Villas-Boas has already confirmed that Bale is set to leave. "AVB," as he is often called, also noted that the team could take legal action against the player for failing to show up for training.

"At the moment the two clubs are speaking -- Tottenham and Real Madrid -- to outline the final decisions or statements of contracts and I am not sure how much time it will take," Villas-Boas said, according to ESPN. "It could happen very, very soon. It might not happen so soon so I suppose it could go to the last days or it could happen in the next two days.

"Until the transfer happens the player is a Tottenham player. If there are orders for him to be here and he is not, I can only leave it to club officials to deal with it. It's up to the club to decide whether or not it's a breach of club rules. I've given my opinion on it, it's up to them to decide whether they act on it or not."
