It was the news that many have been curious about, while many others have been dreading.
Michael Phelps appears to be dating Megan Rossee, a model from Los Angeles that has reportedly been accompanying Michael to the Olympic Trials and Games according to Hollyscoop.
The 25-year-old blond recently uploaded Instagram photos of Phelps and herself locking arms, riding the same car and if interpreted correctly, fooling around with Phelps newly acquired buddies: his gold and silver medals (click here for the photos).
At first sight, one can mistaken Rossee as one of Phelps fans who luckily got the opportunity to snap a quick picture with Phelps, but upon digging into Twitter, one cannot deny that something serious is brewing or has been brewing between the two.
"Good luck tonight bear '@MichaelPhelps: Last prelim swim complete... 2 big ones tonight... Nap time now...'"
Did she just call him 'bear'?
Although no official announcement has been made, and at this point none is probably needed, various sources including E! Online report both have been going out together for at least five months now.
An even more revealing tweet is the following.
"@MichaelPhelps this probably will get lost in your tweets but since i cant text i miss you and cant wait to spend time with you for real xo"
Convinced?
Megan Rossee, the aspiring model and cocktail waitress in Los Angeles, apparently chose Phelps over another interested suitor.
"At the time when they began dating, baseball and television star Doug Reinhardt was crushing on her too, but she chose to be with Michael instead," the same source said.
The two have been spotted around London after Phelps completed his record-breaking Olympic performance in the 2012 London games. The HollyScoop source also told the website that the couple would most likely do some traveling and check out the sights after the Olympics wrap up.
